Doorstep Theatre

HEAT

Doorstep Theatre Company is a Birmingham- based theatre company that aims to create high-quality theatre from working-class people ....for working-class people.

Heat is a 30 minute performance set on one day in the life of a married woman and a mother of three girls in the heatwave of 1976 in the city.  This piece of theatre will give a nod to many political and controversial topics and themes that surround the 70s - including a woman's role in the home, life before and during the Women's Liberation Movement, education in the 1970s and teenage pregnancy.
